The students, based on their interest, can specialize in Electronic Communication covering radio, television and film production; or advanced journalism covering political business, science, environment, crime and investigative journalism; or in Marketing Communication covering advanced concepts in Media Planning and Buying, Brand Management, Corporate Communications, Event Planning and Implementation.

A degree in MA Journalism and Mass Communication opens up doors to different career options like News Reporting, Programme Producer, PR in Business and Corporate Houses, Creative Visualizer, Content Developer, Media Marketing to name a few. A sound knowledge in the subject also makes one skillful in pursuing his/her career as a Radio/video Jockey or a Photographer.
A graduate in MA Journalism and Mass Communication becomes eligible for many government and private sectors like All India Radio, Central Information Service, News Agencies, Press Information Bureau, Prasar Bharati, Doordarshan and the other private news channels, Print media, legal affairs department to name a few.
